Sergej Čas − BIOGRAPHY

Sergej Čas is a Slovenian singer, musician and poet. He was born on 25 February 1973 and lives in an idyllic small town called Semič in the region of White Carniola. From 1990 to 2004 he was the driving force of the local pop-rock group called Desert Fox, where he was the lead singer, author of lyrics and co-author of music. The band recorded a very successful album Obstoj (Existence) along with the hit song Stari vran (The Old Raven) and they performed at various concert stages in the country. After a 15-year long pause he returned to the studio in October 2015, when he began recording new material with his friends and the renowned Slovenian producer Zmago Smon – Zed. In December 2016 the Sraka International record label published his first solo album The Cosmonaut with 12 very personal songs featuring his music and lyrics. In addition to the 12 songs in Slovene the album also contains a song in English, I’d Like to Wait for You, and another one in Russian, KOCMOHABT, which is dedicated to Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space.
